My Story
Hi, I’m Kully
I’m am someone who has studied in Journalism and with that developed an appreciation of photography.
I had an SLR Pentax 35mm camera which was taken wherever I went, when I wasn’t on Journalism assignments I would be at social events with family and friends and seen as the “go to person” to capture their moment.
As my career veered away from Journalism and progressed through the Corporate world, my involvement in photography minimised.
Fast forward a few years I’m a husband, father of two and at a point in my life where I am now keen to rekindle my passion of photography and through my experience capture those moments that your future self will thank me for.
Photographs act like a visual timeline of a persons life, showing growth, achievements, relationships and milestones, these help people reflect on how they have changed over time.
I have seen and heard during social gatherings, reunions where people reminisce about days gone by, highlighting past passions, hobbies. moments that brought them together, moments that made them feel alive.
There are moments not caught and whilst they are kept alive through spoken words often coming with a tinge of regret “I wish we had some pictures to capture us at that time”.
This is the primary motivation for stepping behind the camera, capturing those moments, that are enjoyed through the eyes of your future self or others in years to come.
I am a professional with a laid back, friendly approach, I myself enjoy martial arts, music and well being through movement, so whether it’s the intensity of sports, the energy of live music, or coordinated effort through group activities,
I want to capture your moment, those moments that you or loved ones reminisce about in years to come.
I’m an experienced photographer with a strong foundation in visual storytelling and a particular interest in subjects in motion, energy, pastimes.
My background spans sports and music, giving me a multidisciplinary perspective on how people express themselves through movement.
I’m drawn to work that blends technical precision with artistic intuition, and I aim to create images that feel alive, honest, and deeply human.
